I am looking forward to my new course that work have asked me to do. I enjoy CBT courses because they are easy to fit in around work and so I can do them at my desk in the office when things are quiet. It means that I do not have to take time away from my desk which is hard in my job because there isn’t really anyone who can cover for me. In the past I have gone out of the office for courses and found that my mobile phone was ringing so much that I spent more time in the lobby sorting out queries than I did in the arena listening to the trainer. It was a disaster as I was not able to learn much at all and I disturbed all of the other people there but it was just not possible for me to turn off my phone. Despite this, I do have quiet days and so these will be the times when I will be able to fit in my training time and I may also take it home and do some there if I find that I need to. I am really pleased because at last my company is getting some new equipment. Everyone is really excited about it and I think there will be huge quests to use it when it first arrives. Hopefully the novelty will soon wear off as it is something that I think I will be using a lot and I do not want to have to keep booking it months in advance. I am sure it will work out okay in the end. Many people already know about the system and ho wit works which means that they will all be happy to use it without waiting for a training course so there is no chance of me getting some use out of it while people learn about it. I guess I can always use my position of authority to make sure that my time on it takes priority over others!

Computer based training is really growing in popularity and now, instead of wondering whether to do a course this way rather than another more traditional way, thoughts are now moving as to which of the computer based training methods is better.
