Computer based training is really growing in popularity and now, instead of wondering whether to do a course this way rather than another more traditional way, thoughts are now moving as to which of the computer based training methods is better. For example my company is trying to decide between CBT nuggetsand Train Signal. Of course, we all have different tastes and preferences and they will not be able to please everyone. They have decided that it will be easier to just go with one rather than giving the option to the employee that is taking the course and I can see why this makes a lot of sense for the person dealing with the administration. It is a hard decision as obviously there are financial issues as well and by buying a more expensive system it means that less people will be able to use it but they may get a better standard of teaching. So it is a decision between whether they want lots of people trained fairly well or a few people trained very well. There are obviously advantages and disadvantage to both so it will be a decision made a high managerial level.
